Literature Search Services
As an extension of traditional reference services, computerized literature search services are intended to enhance the capability of rapid information retrieval. A library staff normally performs the computerized searches of agriculture related resources for information. Where the SATSource Database is not adequate in meeting information requests, other databases available online are searched.
Who can utilize this service?
This service is provided to assist ICRISAT's researchers, scientists of Indian NARS, and students from agricultural universities.
How to request a search?
To take advantage of this service, use the Literature Search Request web form, or the paper version near the Circulation Counter. A search request should consist of one topic. It is left to the expertise of the library staff to determine what constitutes one search. Please consult with a library staff for more information.
Please note: Searches are restricted to research areas related to semiarid regions only.
The results will list references giving authors, titles, journal sources, and if available, abstracts. The librarian will not hand select results and the results do not include full articles. Your search results will normally be ready within two working days. They can be mailed, emailed, or picked up at the Circulation Desk.
ICRISAT staff and NARS: Computerized searches are free of charge.
